Sandy Hook is a NJ Historic Site. It was used from the time of the American revolution up to and Including Today as a Strategic Military Defense Post.

I Highly Recommend this as a Fun day Trip for the Family.. Just across the Bridge is a Restaurant called Off The Hook that is also an enjoyable dining Experience

There is Much to see and more is being restored for the public every day. It is also one of the Best Surf fishing Locations in NJ. Access is easy from the NJ Parkway exit 117 Route 36 to the end. There is a fee between Memorial day And Labor Day.
